− The blender can be used by persons with reduced phys-
ical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience
and knowledge if they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the blender in a safe way
and if they understand the hazards involved.
− The blender shall not be used by children.
− Keep children away from the blender and power cord.
− Do not leave the blender unattended while in operation.
− Make sure that children do not play with the plastic wrap-
ping. They may get caught in it when playing and suffo-
cate.
− Do not let children play with the blender.

First use

Checking the blender and package contents

1. Check to make sure that all components and accessories have been
received (see figs. A and B).
2. Take the blender out of the packaging and check whether the blender or
any of the individual parts are damaged. If this is the case, do not use the
blender. Contact the manufacturer via the service address indicated on the
warranty card.

Preparing for use

− Remove the packaging material and all protective wrappings.
− Thoroughly clean all parts of the blender before first use as described in the
chapter "Cleaning."
