tage specified on the nameplate of the machi-
ne. Power tools marked with 230 V can also be
operated with 220 V, and power tools marked
with 127 V can also be operated with 115 V.
• Hold power tool by insulated gripping surfa-
ces only (Figure 8). The accessory may contact
hidden wiring or its own cord. Accessory contac-
ting a "live" wire may make exposed metal parts
of the power tool "live" and shock the operator.
• Check grinding tools before using. The grin-
ding tool must be mounted properly and be able
to move freely. Carry out a test run for at least
one minute with no load. Do not use damaged,
ou-of-centre or vibrating grindind tools. Dama-
ged grinding tolls can burst and cause injuries.
When operating the machine with power from mo-
bile generators that do not have sufficient reserve
capacity or are not equipped with suitable volta-
ge control with starting current amplification, loss
of performance or untypical behavior can occur
upon switching on.
Please observe the suitability of the power gene-
rator being used, particularly with regard to the
mains voltage and frequency.
ON/OFF (Figure 5)
To start the power tool, puch the On/Off switch
A forwards.
To lock the On/Of switch A press the On/Off
switch A down at the front until it latches.
To switch off the power tool, release the On/Off
switch A or, if it is locked, briefly push down the
back of the On/Off switch A and then release it.
!
Be aware of the sudden impact when the
tool is switched on.
!
Before the accessory reaches the work-
piece, the tool should run at full speed.
!
Before switching off the tool, you should
lift it from the workpiece.
!
The accessory continues to rotate for a
short time after the tool has been switched off.
USE
GRINDING (Figure 6)
Move the tool back and forth with moderate pres-
sure.
The best results are achieved with an angle of 30º
to 40º for grinding. Move the machine back and
forth with light pressure. In this manner, the work-
piece does not become too hot, no discoloration
occurs and no ridges are produced.
!
Never use a cutting disc for side grinding.
CUTTING (Figure 7)
When cutting, do not press, tilt or oscillate. Work
with a moderate feed rate that is suited to the ma-
terial to be worked.
The direction in which one cuts is important. The
machine must always rotate opposite to the direc-
tion of motion; therefore never move the machine
in the other direction! Otherwise, the danger exists
that it will be forced uncontrolled out of the cut.
When cutting profiles or square pipes, it is best
to start with the smallest cross section (figure 7).
!
Do not subject cutting discs to side pres-
sure.
For your safety, in the cutting off operations must
be use the adequate protection guard, which
only the under side of the cutting-off wheel could
be expose during the cutting-off operation. As
showed in the picture 9.
• Do not tilt the tool while cutting.
• Always move the tool in same direction as arrow
on tool head, in order to prevent the tool from being
pushed out of the cut in an uncontrolled manner.
• Do not apply pressure on the tool; let the speed
of the cutting disc do the work.
• The working speed of the cutting disc depends
on the material to be cut.
• Do not brake cutting discs with side pressure.
HOLDING AND GUIDING THE TOOL (Figure 8)
!
While working, always hold the tool at the
grey-coloured grip area(s) .
Always hold the tool firmly with both hands, so
you will have full control of the tool at all times.
Pay attention to the direction of rotation; always
hold the tool so, that sparks and grinding/cutting
dust fly away from the body.
Provide for a secure stance.
MAINTENANCE / SERVICE
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
!
Before any work on the machine itself,
pull the mains plug.
For safe and proper working, always keep the ma-
chine and the ventilation slots clean.
