32 DESCALING
Warning! Never use vinegar as a descaling agent.
commercially available non-toxic, non-harmful descaling product for coffee
machines. We recommend using a Saeco descaling agent.
DECALCIFY
READY FOR USE
The machine signals when Press the MENU button
it needs descaling. to access the descaling
function.
See "Programming".
DESCALING FINISHED
CLOSE KNOB
When the descaling cycle is
completed, close the knob.
MACHINE IS DESCALING
OPEN KNOB
The descaling cycle can
be cut short by closing
the knob.
You can use any

OPEN KNOB
Remove the cartridge
fi lter.
RINSE MACHINE
FILL WATER TANK
Rinse out the tank and fi ll it
with fresh drinking water.
DESCAL. INTERRUPTED
EMPTY WATER TANK
Press the button. Rinse out the tank and fi ll it
with fresh drinking water.
Descaling is necessary every 3-4 months, when there is a reduction in the water
capacity. The machine must be on; it automatically controls the distribution of the
descaling solution.
Fill the water tank with the Place a large receptacle
descaling solution. beneath the steam tube.
RINSE MACHINE
PRESS KEY
Press the button to confi rm Open the knob.

normally.
MACHINE IS DESCALING
Turn the knob to open the
valve. The machine will
start descaling.
RINSING FINISHED

CLOSE KNOB
When the rinse cycle is
completed, close the knob
and load the circuit
If the descaling cycle is
interrupted by switching off
the machine, it will automatically re-
sume when the machine is switched
back on.
When descaling is over, fit the
cartridge filter back in place.
