– Maintenance and repair work only to be performed
by instructed skilled personnel.
– Include the machine in the explosion protection
and fire protection documentation.
– In the event of a fire immediately disconnect the
machine from the power supply and introduce
measures according to fire regulations.
– If there is a filter leak switch off the machine
straight away and replace the filter. After the filter
is changed check the proper functioning of the ma-
chine.
When handling the control electronics, take
appropriate ESD measures to discharge any
electrostatic charges.

Installation

Only to be performed by a qualified electrician
Observe installation manual!
Spatial requirements
– Even floor.
– Observe distances (rear 30 cm, left and right 60
cm, front 100 cm).
– Well ventilated, observe regional regulations!
6.1

Setup

The turbine is delivered on a pallet.
Remove packaging.
The turbine is screwed to the pallet using four
screws, slacken the screws.
Remove dirt trap (see chapter 10.1.) and padding.
Lift down turbine from the pallet using a lift truck
(Attention: Only run in from the side!).
If necessary align with feet [1-15].
 Due to the high level of noise and to prevent the
erection site heating up, it is strongly recom-
mended to guide the extracted air outdoors.
Assemble main switch
Open control cabinet door.
Position shifting shaft [2-1] on main switch [2-2]
so that it sticks out 235 mm and secure using
threaded pin preassembled.
Insert the button [2-4] in the control cabinet door
and secure using an eye bolt[2-3].
Information on transportation, storage and packag-
ing
Warning! Risk of tipping during transport!
The turbine has a high center of gravity and
therefore must be moved carefully with fork-
lift or lift truck.
– Only transport and store in an upright position.
– Transport only when machine is fully assembled
and locked; secure loose components.
– For transportation with lift truck, or similar, adjust
the feet [1-15] to the corresponding level; only run
in lift truck from the side.

Connections

The following connections are available, see [1-10]
to [1-14]:
– Power supply
– Connection of group alarm lights (e.g. permanent
LED light BM 230VAC YE, WERMA, Rietheim-Weil-
heim)
– Connection for switch-on contact of EAA energy
box or external "ON" switch if there are no lights
with contacts
– Connection for scavenging air flap (e.g. shut-off
valve with seal, NORO, Rehden)
– Supply air connection
– Exhaust air connection
– Compressed air connection
The electrical connections must be estab-
lished by qualified electricians. The warning
label on the frequency converter must be re-
placed with the enclosed label in the respective na-
tional language.
Requirements of pipe system
– For recommendations please refer to the installa-
tion manual.
– Connection pipe must move at least 5 cm vertically
at the supply air connection.
– The pipe system and its components must be able
to endure short-term vacuums up to -400 mbar,
which may occur in the event of sudden closures of
all extraction points (e.g. in the case of a power
failure).
Requirements of compressed air supply
– Compressed air, min. 6 bar, max. 10 bar (static
pressure), unoiled
– Setting pressure regulator [6] to max. 6 bar.
Requirements of power supply
– The system is operated using a frequency convert-
er; provide suitable leakage current protective
measures (e.g. RCD type B).
– An additional protection conductor can be con-
nected at the bottom of the control box to dissipate
the leakage current.
The neutral conductor is not activated. Only
suitable for connecting to TN systems.
