Reprocessing
For validation purposes please make sure that you follow the
loading instructions given on the template.
Any hollow items that have become disconnected from their in-
jector nozzles, adapters or holders during processing must be re-
processed.
Danger of injury: When handling tips for air scalers and piezo
scalers, be careful not to injure yourself on the functional ends of
the instruments. For your own safety, wear gloves and, if neces-
sary, a surgical mask and protective goggles when sorting the in-
struments.
To minimise the risk of injury, the inserts should be loaded from the
back forwards and unloaded in the reverse order. Wear clean
gloves when removing the inserts.
Remove the tip from the transmission instrument. Use the tools re-
commended by the instrument manufacturer, such as a torque
spanner.
Remove the tip from the instrument.
If the instrument can be reprocessed by machine, place it in a lock-
able mesh tray, such as the E 197. Instruments with hollow spaces
must be sorted with the opening facing downwards so that the wa-
ter can enter and escape unhindered. Place the mesh tray in a free
space in the upper or lower basket or in the mobile unit or module.
Coarse soiling on the tips must be rinsed off under running water.
Use the brushes recommended by the manufacturer.
Check that the cooling channel is free of blockages.
The instrument manufacturers provide appropriate tools, such as
brushes and cleaning wires, for this work. Blocked instruments
must not continue to be used.
Instruments pretreated with cleaning or disinfection agents must be
rinsed, for example under running water, before they are repro-
cessed in the washer-disinfector.
Alternatively, you can start the
the reprocessing programme.
At the grip end of the A 814 holder, turn the screw cap anti-clock-
wise as far as it will go.
