time format.
B. Setting the alarm
To set the hours or minutes for the alarm as de-
sired, hold the Alarm Set button (3) and then si-
multaneously press the Hours (6) or Minutes (7)
button. The alarm can now be switched on or off
using the Alarm ON/OFF button (5).
6. Using the background light for the display:
The display background light is switched on by
pressing the Light button (8). The light remains on
for 10 seconds and switches off again automatically
in order to save the battery charge.
7. Using the radio with headphones
(Headphones not included):
Insert the headphone jack into the socket provided
(1). The speaker of the unit (12) then switches off
automatically and the headphones turn on. Please
note the following points when using the head-
phones:
a) Be mindful of the volume. Use of the headphones
at high volume may result in hearing damage.
b) Please do not use the headphones if you are in
traffi c on a public street, since the surrounding
sounds cannot be heard properly when head-
phones are in use.
8. Using the LED torch (22):
To switch the torch on, press the Torch button (2).
Activate the button again to switch the torch off.
Caution:
A. Please ensure that the crank (17) has been com-
pletely unfolded before use in order to protect your
fi ngers and nails from injury when cranking. Try to
crank as evenly as possible.
B. In order to increase the life of the battery and
the mechanical parts, please note the following
points:
• Do not turn the crank (17) for longer than 5 minutes
if the unit is charged and functioning normally.
