remains in the green area.
11. Align the diamond coring machine with the center
of the hole to be drilled.
12. Level the drill stand by turning the leveling screws
(the diamond coring machine is equipped with a
bubble level).
13. Secure the leveling screws by tightening the lock nuts.
14. Connect the supply cord to the electric power supply
and connect the water supply hose (see DD EC-1
operating instructions).
6.3 Using anchors (HKD M8/HDI
stand
1. Secure the carriage in its highest position on the drill
stand.
2. Lower the diamond coring machine into position on
the carriage from above.
3. Attach the diamond coring machine to the carriage
by turning the securing knob.
4. From below, slide the water collector into position
on the diamond coring machine (DD EC-1) until it
engages.
5. Fit a core bit into the diamond coring machine (see
DD EC-1 operating instructions).
6. Set the anchor at a distance of 120 mm/4
distance) from the center point of the hole to be
drilled.
7. Screw the threaded rod into the anchor.
8. Place the drill stand over the threaded rod and in
approximate alignment with the center point of the
hole to be drilled.
9. Screw the nut with the washer onto the threaded rod
but do not tighten it fully.
10. Align the diamond coring machine with the center

-NOTE-
Use of the water collector in conjunction with the
DD-REC1 water recycling system or a wet-type vacu-
um cleaner is absolutely essential when working over-
head on ceilings.
1. Mount the diamond coring machine on the drill stand.
2. Use an anchor (HKD M8 or HDI
brace to fasten the drill stand to the ceiling.
3. Connect the hose between the water collector and the
DD-REC1 water recycling unit or a wet-type vacuum
cleaner. Relieve the strain on the hose set by means
of the strain relief device.
4. Connect the electric power supply cord and the water
supply hose.
6.5 Using a quick-release column to secure the drill
stand
6. Screw the adaptor onto the drill stand.
7. Screw the quick-release column onto the adaptor.
8. Fix the quick-release column in position but do not
tighten it.
9. Bring the diamond coring machine into alignment
with the center point of the hole to be drilled.
10. Level the drill stand by turning the leveling screws
(the diamond coring machine is equipped with a
bubble level).
11. Secure the leveling screws by tightening the lock
nuts.
12. Use an open-end wrench to tighten the nut on the
threaded rod securely.
13. Connect the supply cord to the electric power supply
and connect the water supply hose (see DD EC-1
operating instructions).
6.6 Using drill bits with a length of 600 mm (24")
-NOTE-
The columns of the drill stand are too short for use with
drill bits with a length of 600 mm (24").
1. Predrill the hole with a drill bit with a length of 300 mm
(12").
2. Remove the stop screws and end caps from the columns.
3. Pull the carriage and diamond coring machine off the
end of the columns.
4. Fit the drill bit with a length of 600 mm (24").
