1. INTRODUCTION
Thank you for choosing the Tigex video baby alarm. This device is a wireless electronic communication
system which enables you to monitor your baby while he or she is sleeping. This device must only be
used to assist you; it must never replace an adult, a baby-sitter or a care professional.
2. BOX CONTENTS
1 baby unit (emitter) – mains power only
1 parent unit (receiver) – mains or 3 x AAA battery powered; the unit does not come with a "battery
recharge" function
2 plugs enabling both units to be connected to mains power
1 set of operating instructions
3. INSTALLATION
Parent unit:
Mains power: connect one of the two plugs supplied into the left hand side of the parent unit in the
socket marked "DC 5V" and connect the other end into a standard 230V plug socket. The parent unit
is now ready for use.
Battery power: if you wish to use the parent unit wirelessly, slide the battery cover on the parent unit
back and insert 3 x 1.5V (AAA) batteries.
Note: you can use normal or rechargeable batteries. The parent unit does not have a battery recharge
function. You must recharge your batteries separately. Batteries are not included. The parent unit
comes with a belt clip which enables you to carry and use the unit in "hands-free" mode.
Baby unit:
Mains power only: connect one of the two plugs supplied into the left hand side of the baby unit in the
socket marked "DC 5V" and connect the other end into a standard 230V plug socket. The baby unit is
now ready for use.
Positioning:
Place the baby unit around 2 meters from the baby.
ENSURE THAT THE BABY IS NOT ABLE TO TOUCH THE POWER CABLE. ALSO ENSURE THAT THE UNIT
CANNOT FALL INTO THE COT.
Do not place the baby or parent unit in direct sunlight or in a damp environment. The baby alarm is not
water-proof. An atmosphere with excessive humidity may damage the electronic components.
4. USE
Switching on both units :
Press the
button down until the "on" light switches on, after around
three seconds. Press again for 3 seconds to switch the unit off.
Note: when the parent unit is connected to mains power, the "on" but-
ton will be constantly lit up. When it is powered by batteries, it will
blink.
volume adjustment:
Press the

buttons on the parent unit to adjust the speaker volume. You can choose between
five volumes and a silent mode. The unit will beep twice when the maximum volume has been set.
