3. INFORMATION ON MUD /
SNOW / STUDDED TYRES
3.1 DESCRIPTION AND FORESEEN USE
This manual contains the instructions on
how to change standard wheels featuring
wheels with mud / snow tyres (hereafter
referred to as "snow wheels"),
Snow wheels can also be studded (par. 4.4).
Snow wheels should be mounted on the rear
axle whenever it is necessary to use the machine
on ground made slippery by snow and/or mud.
3.1.1 Intended use
Snow wheels are designed and manufactured
to improve traction performance in
snow and mud conditions.
It is still however vital to pay particular attention
when accelerating, braking, turning corners
and working at high speed on the machine.
It is important to use these wheels with
caution, not only in the presence of mud
or snow, but also on damp ground.
3.1.2 Improper use
Do not use the machine for riding over
unstable, slippery, icy, stony, rough, marshy
ground or puddles that do not allow the
consistency of the ground to be assessed.
NOTE Use of chains on snow
wheels is not recommended.
IMPORTANT Improper use will relieve
the Manufacturer from all liabilities, where
the user will consequently be liable for
all expenses deriving from damage
or injuries to himself and others.
4. MOUNTING THE WHEELS
The safety regulations to follow
are described in chap. 2. Strictly
comply with these instructions to
avoid serious risks or hazards.
