Adiabatic panels are placed on the side of the exchanger at the air inlet; the water that percolates in the panels
evaporates in the air flow and increases relative humidity, thus lowering the temperature due to adiabatic cooling.
During the activation of the adiabatic panels the fan speed is constant and equal to parameter PF35; the water flow
rate is modulated by the adiabatic panels, by means of a modulating valve (AO2) and a flowmeter (AI7), with impact
on the air outlet temperature of the panels.
The controller enables the operation of the adiabatic panels only if the outside temperature is above the set threshold
(parameter PE11, with hysteresis parameter PE13). In addition, the demand for the adiabatic panel resource must be
higher than parameter PR36 % to control the opening of the supply valves and start to spray the adiabatic panels.

The opening of the modulating valve varies according to the required water flow and the water flow measured by the
flowmeter. It is possible to select different algorithms for the control of the adiabatic panels, via parameter PR31;
using these algorithms, starting from a water flow set-point (parameter PR32) set by LU-VE, a required water flow is
defined. Parameters PR33, PR34, PR35 are the additional parameters for flow adjustment; the PR37 and PR38
parameters represent the minimum and maximum opening of the modulating valve (in% on the range 0% = closed -
100% = totally open).
Attention: Changing the PR32 water flow set-point can lead to malfunction and/or impact on the useful life of
adiabatic panels. Only modify this parameter with caution.
