12.7 For rims with raised spokes ending
on the rim-edge
(Disassembly)
1. Clamp the wheel (air has to be released, wheel-weights
of all types be removed).
2. Loosen the beads with the standard bead-loosening
procedure.
3. Use the upper roller to lubricate with an approved
lubricant the bead of the tyre, the bead-lip, the bead-
seat, and the RIM-EDGE.
4. Put the mounting arm backwards into position '3'
and use the bead-lever to pull the bead upon the
mounting head.
5. Raise the lower roller to reduce the tension of the
tyre on the mounting head.
6. Rotate the wheel in clockwise direction pushing the
opposite pedal.
7. Lever the lower bead onto the mounting head and
rotate in clockwise direction.
(Assembly)
1. Lubricate both tyre-beads with an approved lubri-
cant.
2. Lubricate the inner part of the mounting head and
also the rim-edge.
3. The mounting arm has to be in position '3'.
4. Mount the tyre normally.
12.8 Tyre inflation with machine without
tubeless inflation
Connect the inflation device to the tyre valve and inflate
the tyre using the left pedal.
A LIMITATION DEVICE IS
PRESENT IN THE AIR SUPPLY
LINE FOR THE TIRE INFLATION
(3 ± 0,2 BAR/44 PSI).
Well lubricated beads and rims make the beading in and
inflation much safer and easier.
In the case the beads are not seated at 3±0,2 bar,
release all the air from the wheel, remove it from the
tyre changer and put it in a safety case to complete
the inflation procedure.

12.9 Tyre inflation with machine with tube-
Any tyre can be difficult to inflate if the beads are not in
contact with the rim. The tubeless inflation device sup-
plies a jet of air from high-pressure nozzle, which en-
courages the correct positioning of the bead against the
rim, and therefore normal inflation.
To inflate tyres proceed as follows:
• Connect the inflation terminal to the tyre valve.
• Press the nozzle on the rim.
• Press the inflation pedal, supplying the air jet neces-
sary for the tyre bead insertion.
• Lift the lower bead while the pedal is pressed on the
second stage placed on the left side of the machine
supplying in this way the air jet necessary.
• Continue to inflate the tyre up to the required pres-
sure pressing the lateral pedal.
12.10 Special use of the bead-breaker (only
In addition to its use during mounting and un-mount-
ing, the bead-breaker can also be used for matching the
tyre to the rim. To conduct this operation follow the fol-
lowing instructions:
• Grip the tyre between the bead-breaker rollers.
• Turn the motor anti-clockwise until the reference point
on the tyre coincides with the reference point on the
rim (usually the valve) (See Fig. 46).
