Start-up
Before starting the blind rivet setting tool, read and observe the operating instructions and
safety information and keep in a safe place. Have technical personnel connect the com-
pressed air supply to the blind rivet setting tool.
7.1
To attach spent mandrel container
Fully screw on spent mandrel container (No. 36) by turning clockwise.
7.2
Selecting and changing the nosepiece
Caution!Alwaysfitthenosepiececorrespondingtothesizeoftheblindrivet(selectfrom
table in Section 6).
To change the nosepiece
•
Disconnect the blind rivet setting tool from the compressed air supply.
•
Unscrew nosepiece (No. 1) from steel head sleeve (No. 2).
•
Screw in selected nosepiece (No. 1) and tighten.
7.3
To set a blind rivet
•
Connect the blind rivet setting tool to the compressed air supply.
•
Inserttheblindrivetinthenosepiece(No.1)andusingthetoolfitasfarasitwillgoin
the hole in the material to be joined.
•
Press trigger (No. 40) until the mandrel breaks off.
•
Release trigger (No. 40).
•
The spent mandrel is automatically conveyed into the spent mandrel container (No. 36)
(see Section 7.5).
