Use
Before making the first pancake and after each new pancake, lightly grease the hotplate with an
1.
absorbent paper towel soaked in cooking oil.
!
WARNING: Accessible surfaces can get very hot when the appliance
is in operation. Never touch the hotplate during use as you may get
burned. Use only the spatula or other heat-resistant utensil.
Use the ladle provided to spread the pancake batter on the hotplate or on the 5 mini circles drawn
2.
on the hotplate. Use the spatula to turn the pancakes over. Do not use metal utensils. This could
damage the non-stick coating on the hotplates.
The spreader is used to spread the pancake batter on the hotplate. We recommend that you use a
3.
separate container with a little water to soak the spreader in before preparing each new pancake: this
will make it easier to spread the batter. Pour the batter into the centre of the hotplate and turn the
spreader clockwise or anticlockwise.
You can adjust the thermostat knob at any time to obtain a higher or lower temperature.
4.
When you have finished, set the thermostat knob to position 0 (off). Unplug the appliance from the
5.
power socket. Wait until the appliance has cooled down completely before cleaning.
Tip: To keep your pancakes warm, set the thermostat to a minimum position (to the left).

pancake batter recipe
Ingredients:
250 g of flour
•
4 eggs
•
50 cl milk (preferably lukewarm or at room temperature)
•
1 pinch of salt
•
50 g butter
•
1 sachet of vanilla sugar
•
1 tablespoon of rum (5 cl) (optional)
•
In a bowl, pour the flour and break the eggs. Gradually add the milk while whisking.
1.
Add the vanilla sugar and the pinch of salt. It needs to form a lump-free batter.
2.
Be careful not to mix the flour and eggs before adding the milk as this would result in a
lumpy dough, difficult to mix in with the milk!
Ideally, let the pancake batter rest for one hour at room temperature. Cover the bowl with cling film.
