4. Fix the cable in place with electrician's tape.
• Do not tie a knot into the cable to hang it on the
hook.
5. Hold the cable with one hand and turn the micro-
phone carefully into the desired position.
• To activate the bass cut, refer to Section 4.3.2.
• To power the LED ring from an external source,
refer to Section 4.5.1.
To keep the microphone steady even in a draft,
1. Stretch a suitable length of fishing line horizontally
across the room, passing the fishing line through the
eye on the HM 1000.
2. Fix the fishing line to two opposite walls so as to cre-
ate just enough downward pull to steady the micro-
phone laterally.
