ELECTRICAL SAFETY

1. Make sure to unplug the immersion blender from its outlet when:
You're not using it.
You're adding or removing accessories.
You're cleaning it.
2. Be careful to keep the cord from hanging over the edge of tables, counters, etc.
3. Take care to keep the cord from touching hot surfaces.
4. As soon as you're done blending, unplug the hand blender to avoid accidentally
turning it on.
5. Unplug immersion blender before touching any parts (especially the blades).
6. This hand blender uses a polarized plug; one prong is slightly wider than the other.
Be gentle, and don't force the plug into the socket. To reduce the risk of electric
shock, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug doesn't fit
into the outlet, reverse the plug and try again. If it still doesn't fit, call a qualified
electrician to install a suitable electrical outlet. Do NOT modify the plug in any way.
7. Ensure that the immersion blender's power needs won't cause problems with
your electrical wiring! Ensure that the hand blender's maximum power usage (200
Watts) does not exceed the capabilities of your circuit breaker or fuses.
8. If it's necessary to use adapters, multiple sockets, or extension cords, make sure
they comply with local electric safety standards. Do not exceed power consump-
tion limits.
9. When unplugging the immersion blender, do not tug on the power cord. Grab the
head of the cord and gently remove it from the socket.
BLADE SAFETY
1. Keep your hands and utensils away from the blades while the hand blender is
running. Severe injury can occur if you come in contact with the turning blades.
2. Please, handle the blades carefully! They are very sharp, and can cut or seriously
injure you if you aren't careful. Never manipulate the blades unless the unit is un-
plugged and the blades are fully stopped.
3. If your blades get jammed while the hand blender is running, USE CAUTION. Make
sure that you unplug the immersion blender before trying to fix the problem.

FOOD SAFETY

1. Do not process very hot foods (maximum temperature: 140° F / 60º C).
2. Take care to remove any fruit pits, bones, etc. from foods before blending to pre-
vent breaking blades and/or damaging gearing.
3. Chop/quarter or otherwise cut up hard/solid foods as necessary to aid in fast, even
blending.
