USE INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE AND CARE BY PROPERLY TRAINED AND
QUALIFIED PERSONNEL
WARNING
1) This respirator does NOT provide oxygen.
2) Use it only in areas properly ventilated containing at least 18% oxygen.
3) This respirator must be used in conjunction with chemical, mechanical or combined cartridges for
protection against specific contaminants.
4) Do not use when concentrations of contaminants are unknown or immediately dangerous to life or
death (IDLH).
5) Do not use when the appropriate exposure limit (OSHA PEL, NIOSH REL, ACGIH TLV, L.T., etc.)
is not known or when it is below the odor threshold or any other contaminant warning level.
6) Leave the area immediately if:
A. Breathing becomes difficult.
B. Dizziness or other distress occur.
C. You taste or smell the contaminant
D. You experience nose or throat irritation.
7) Use strictly in accordance with instructions, labels and limitations pertaining to this device.
8) This respirator may not provide a satisfactory seal for the face, depending on certain facial
characteristics, such as beards or long side burns, as stated in ANSI Z88.2 1992 and Respiratory
Protection – Recommendations, selection and use of respirators (Fundacentro – Job and Labor
Ministry), which can cause leakages to the facepiece, thus voiding or limiting the protection. If that
is the case, the user assumes any risk of death or serial personal injury that may happen.
9) Never alter or modify this device.
10) This respirator is for use by trained, qualified personal only.
FAILURE TO FOLLOW THE ABOVE WARNINGS CAN RESULT IN SERIOUS PERSONAL
INJURY OR DEATH.
WARNING
Do not use for urethane paints or other paints containing diisocyanates because of their poor warning
properties. Use against such contaminants could result in severe permanent damage to the
respiratory system. Use Air Supplied Respirator.
