RESPIRATOR USE LIMITATIONS
The users must comply with the following MSA respirator use limitations MSA:
1. Maximum use concentration – Do not exceed any of the following conditions:
A. 10 times the exposure limit for the contaminant present.
B. Immediately dangerous to life or death (IPVS / IDLH) concentration for any contaminant
present.
2. The limitation outlined in the Approval Certificate approval applicable for the matter.
3. Do not use the respirator for protection against substances with poor warning properties or against
substances that generate heat or that causes reactions with the cartridge adsorbent materials.
4. Any applicable limitation contained in the technical specification established by a regulatory
agency with jurisdiction over the wearer.
5. Any applicable limitation contained in a established standard by a regulatory agency (such as
OSHA or SSST) with jurisdiction over the wearer.
6. Do not wear for protection against the following contaminants regardless of the concentration of
time exposure. This far-from being complete list Is offered only as a guide to proper evaluation of
the many contaminantes found in industry. Contact MSA for further information on other special
specific materials.
