Cause
Nothing is recorded on the disc.
Recording on a CD-R or CD-RW is finished.
The disc is damaged by scratches.
The TOC data is not proper.
Error concerning CD-R or CD-RW occurred.
Dubbing is prohibited by the SCMS standard.
Finalization, erasing or unfinalization is not
finished within the unit-set time and so the unit is
retrying the process.
Mechanical or electrical error occurred in the unit.
There is no disc loaded.
Input digital signal cannot be received.
There is not enough time left to be recorded on
the disc.
The CD-R approaches the OPC limit (page 12).
The disc reached or exceeded the OPC limit, or
the disc is damaged and so OPC process failed.
The erasing process failed.
More than 99 tracks are trying to be recorded on a
single disc.
Mechanical error occurred. (A disc may be
unable to be removed.)
Solution

Wait until the message disappears.
Clean the disc or replace the disc.
Replace the disc or erase all tracks.

Wait until the message disappears.
Press POWER to turn the unit off and then press it
again to turn the unit back on.
If the message is still on, consult your local AIWA
dealer.
Load a disc.
Plug in porperly with an optical cable.
Replace the disc with another recordable disc. For
a CD-RW, remaining recordable time can be
increased by erasing tracks.
Finalize the CD-R.
The disc can be played. To record, replace the disc
with another one.
Try again. If last track erasing fails, try all track
erasing.
Replace the disc with another one. For a CD-RW,
erasing tracks is also possible.
Turn the unit off, then turn it back on, and try to
remove the disc. If you still cannot remove the
disc, consult your local AIWA dealer.
