Connecting the DMX bus

11. Remove the protection cap from the DMX-Box.
− DMX-IN: Connection for DMX input signal (WECS)
− DMX-OUT: Connection for DMX signal to further units (signal feedthrough). A terminator has to be plug-
ged into DMX-OUT (termination of the DMX bus) of the last unit.
12. Fit the connector of the connection cable and secure with the two screws (max. 2.0 Nm).
− Ensure that the rubber seal is clean and fits exactly.
− Replace the rubber seal if damaged.

13. Remove the protection cap from PowerBox 24 V DC.
− The two 24 V DC sockets are connected in parallel. The second 24 V DC socket can be used for supply-
ing other units (signal feed-through).
14. Fit the connector of the connection cable and secure with the two screws (max. 2.0 Nm).
− Ensure that the rubber seal is clean and fits exactly.
− Replace the rubber seal if damaged.

Start-up
This unit supports the DMX protocol extension RDM.
• Start-up and operation are possible with a DMX controller or DMX/RDM controller.
• The DMX / RDM protocol is used for signal transmission and control.

Addressing via DMX
DMX (Digital Multiplex) is a standardised digital transmission protocol used in stage and event equipment as
well as in many Oase components.
The DMX Channel and the mode can be changed by means of a DMX controller from OASE. Read the cor-
responding operating instructions.
