Cleaning the Brush
and Brush Tank
25006/00042 Rev I
The Hand Taper requires very little maintenance, but it is important to keep the machine
clean. Regular cleaning is suggested each day. This includes cleaning the brush and
brush tank, and cleaning the cutter.
1. Turn the machine off and unplug the power cord if you are using an electric model.
2. Remove the water bottle.
3. Unhook the water regulator from the sideplate by lifting it off the adjusting screw.
4. Remove the brush tank (with the hose and regulator attached) by pressing the
holding clip to the left.
Caution! The water in the tank and the exposed brush tank post may be hot if
your model has a heater.
5. Pour the water out of the moistening system.
6. Remove the brush from the tank.
