Loading the Tape

To ensure safe transit of your new Marsh 5HT, the following parts have been removed
and packed separately near the rear of the machine; brush tank and water regulator,
and water bottle. Figure A shows the components of the Marsh Hand Taper. Refer to
this figure as you set up the machine and prepare for operation.

1. Place a roll of tape in the receptacle. Leave the free end of the tape up and facing
the rear of the machine. The roll is properly placed when the tape will unroll toward
you with the adhesive side down.
2. Adjust both spacer plates to center the roll of tape in the receptacle. Be sure the
space plates are set evenly in the corresponding notches on either side of the tape
roll.
3. Lift and remove the cover plate.
4. Cut the end of the tape to give it a clean edge before feeding it through the machine.
5. Feed the tape back and over the rear guide roller.
