2. DESCRIPTION

This instrument is composed of:
a removable adaptor incorporating a test probe
a casing incorporating the electronics,
a black lead with a test probe at the end,
a yellow lead with an alligator clip for connection to the
earth (optional extra).
Test probe: ∅ 1.9 mm

Self-test push button
For initiating a self-test or a continuity test.
Voltage LED ramp (red), indicates the value of the
voltage detected (5 LEDs of between 50 V and 690 V)
24 V voltage and continuity LED (green)
12 V voltage LED (green)
"ON" and 6 V voltage LED (green)
Earth terminal for earthing the detector when identifying
the phase/neutral.
"PH" LED, identifies the phase (red)

3. SELF-TEST
Always carry out a self-test before and after using your
detector.
Never use it if the result of the self-test is negative.
The self-test allows you to check that the detector is
functioning correctly in its entirety: from the test probes to the
LEDs via the lead, the electronics, the buzzer and the
batteries.
3.1 Implementation
Connect the black lead with the test probe to the "COM"
terminal.
Bring the instrument's red test probe into direct contact
with the one at the end of the black lead.
Press the self-test push button.
Consequence:
All the LEDs should light up and the buzzer should be
activated. Then, at the end of the self-test, with the push button
still being held down:
- The 6 V, 12 V and 24 V «ON» LEDs remain alight and the
buzzer rings continuously: the result of the self-test is
positive.
