7. Life phases
7.8 Operating the external controller
The external lifting column is connected to an external controller (see Chapter 7.6).
The hand switch is not connected to the lifting column, it is connected to the controller.
Refer to the assembly instructions of the corresponding controller for specifications regarding
how to construct a system as well as operate the controller and hand switch.
Use only the controllers listed in this operating instruction.
Otherwise the lifting column or controllers may be damaged.
7.9 Putting the lifting column into operation
Only authorised personnel may put a lifting column into
operation. The safety regulations and instructions in these
assembly instructions must be observed and followed.
Prior to commissioning, the lifting column must be checked
for damage and the notes on operation of the lifting column
must be observed (8.3). If no damage can be detected, then
the lifting column can be put into operation.
7.9.1 Commissioning of an
individual lifting column
•
Test the safe state of lifting column 1.
•
Plug the hand switch into connection 2.
•
Plug the power supply cable into mains connection 3.
•
Insert the plug on the end of the power supply cable
into a mains socket.
•
By carefully pressing on the corresponding key on the
hand switch, test the functioning of the upward and
downward movement of the lifting column.
•
Note when raising and lowering the lifting column
that this operates the limit switches and at the same
time switches the lifting movement off in the top and
bottom end positions.
