2 - SAFETY INFORMATION
DANGER: This manual contains the manufacturer's instructions required for routine
maintenance of the BC. Failure to comply with these instructions may lead to
serious injury or even death.
It is extremely important that you read and understand all the information contained in
this manual to supplement your knowledge of diving BCs learnt on training courses.
DANGER: This piece of equipment is not a life jacket. It does not guarantee to hold your
head out of the water.
DANGER: Never breathe in the buoyancy compensator.
Your BC may contain gas residues, liquid or foreign matter that may cause injury or
even death if inhaled.
WARNING: The following information has been designed for your safety.
Read this manual carefully so that you understand all the instructions before using your
new TRIBORD buoyancy compensator.

Get the right diver training and certification from a qualified instructor, keep up to
date and practise what you learn regularly.
•
You should know all the emergency procedures when using your equipment.
•
Repeat several dives to improve your skills.
•
Don't dive alone.
WARNING: When the air or water temperature is below 10°C, it's called "cold water
diving".
When the air or water temperature is below 5°C, it's called "ice water diving".
Ice water diving is extremely dangerous and requires special training, special equipment,
preparation and procedures.
Use suitable thermal insulation according to the temperature of the water in which you're
operating and the type of work you're doing.
WARNING: The use of special equipment in cold and ice water is mandatory.
If you sell or hire out equipment, make sure this manual is provided with the buoyancy
compensator.
WARNING: Use only for recreational diving.
