CAUTION
Improper use.
• Only use the 317L20 Ottobock Battery Charger for charging the
Interchangeable Battery.
• Do not use the Interchangeable Battery if there is any visible damage.
• Do not allow the Interchangeable Battery to come into contact
with fire – it can explode.
• Do not let the Interchangeable Battery come in contact with par-
ticles or liquids.
• Do not expose the Interchangeable Battery to excessive smoke,
dust, mechanical vibrations or shocks.
• Make sure that no metal objects touch the contacts as this can
cause a short-circuit.
• Dispose of the used Interchangeable Battery according to the
waste management laws of your country.
• The Interchangeable Battery may be dangerous for children, and
should always be handled in the presence of an adult.
INFORMATION
The LEDs on the charger must not be illuminated prior to inserting
the battery. If they are illuminated, please submit the charger to an
authorised Ottobock Service Centre.

1.5 Function
The 317B20 Interchangeable Battery is a NiMH battery, which has a
higher capacity than a NiCd battery. The integrated automatic reset
fuse increases the safety of the Interchangeable Battery. You do not
need to change the fuse should it blow after a short-circuit or excessive
current; the integrated fuse will reset after the error has been dealt with.
