b) Before Using for the First Time
Before using for the first time remove all the plastic sachets, cardboard and paper which
protect the various parts of the machine.
Clean the machine and the various accessories with a slightly damp cloth. Then dry them
carefully. This makes it possible to remove possible residues from manufacture.
Before putting the pot into the rice cooker makes sure that the heating plate and the
inside of the pot are clean and dry. Ensure that food particles or rice do not fall into the
cooker.

3) USING YOUR MACHINE

Using Your Rice Cooker
Remove the pot from the rice cooker. Measure the desired amount of rice using the measuring
glass supplied with the machine. Rinse the rice carefully several times until the water is
completely clear.
Let it drain for 20 minutes to ensure cooking is optimal and then pour the rice into the pot.
Pour the appropriate amount of water into the pot. The measuring glass (graduation marked on
it up to 160 g) supplied will help you with this. Never exceed the maximum quantity written on
the inside of the pot. Adhering to the following quantities is recommended to prevent any
overflow:

Place the pot in the rice cooker. Close the lid and plug the machine in. Then press the On/Off
button at the rear of your machine. The "Maintien au chaud" (Keep Warm) indicator comes on.
Push the lever downwards to start cooking. The "Cuisson" (Cooking) indicator comes on. 15
minutes should be allowed for the rice to cook.
