The spectrophotometer is supplied with a Schuko standard wire. Please insert the wire that feeds the AC electric
current in the base of current 220 V, 50 Hz ± 10% provided with earth wire and to the other end to the spectropho-
tometer connector.
Neither the manufacturer nor the distributor will assume any responsibility for the damages produced to the
equipment during its installation or damages to persons suffered by the improper use of the electric connection.
The tension should be 220 V, 50 Hz ± 10%.
Setting up
Press On/Off (1.4).
The equipment initializes and begins an auto-test with the following steps:
- First of all the equipment checks the position of filters and then the position of the lamps and AD conver-
ter.; then, the equipment initializes the W/D2 lamp warm up, wavelength reset and Dark current; finally, after chec-
king printer, battery and system the screen displays the main menu.
- If data in memory have been lost, the instrument will directly calibrate the system without any user's choi-
ce.
Note: Do not open the sample compartment during auto-test.

To set the wavelength value at any measurement mode, proceed as follows:
Press GOTO λ (2.2).
Use the numeric keypad (2.10) to input the desired wavelength value.
Press ENTER (2.7) to save the input value and make the blank; after blanking, the instrument will return to the
measurement mode main menu.
Note: 1. If changing the wavelength is not necessary, press RETURN (2.6).
2. Wavelength range is 190-1100, any value out of this range will be invalid.
S
AMPLE ANALYSIS
Zuzi spectrophotometer 4251/50 presents 3 different measurement modes: basic, quantitative and kinetics.
1. Basic mode
Put the cell with the blank sample in the light path.
Using ▼/▲ (2.9) select Basic mode on the main menu displayed after finishing auto-test.
Press ENTER (2.7) to enter the basic mode display. The instrument will make the blank automatically.
Press RETURN (2.6) to return to the main menu.
Select test mode (Fig. 4)
The equipment presents three measurement modes (Transmittance, Absorbance and Energy). To select the des-
ired measurement mode proceed as follows:
Press SET (2.1) and then select the desired measurement mode by using ▼/▲ (2.9).
Press ENTER (2.7) and the symbol √ will be displayed reside the selected mode.
Press RETURN (2.6) to return to the basic mode display and make the blank at the same time.
