Base station (2)
a) Wattmeter
A built-in wattmeter, associated with an LED indicator
allows the operator to check accurately the curing
light's performance. The aperture is located on the front
part of the base station.
b) To proceed
- Set the device in Fast Curing mode.
- Insert the light guide into the handpiece after
checking no VLC material remains on the light guide.
- Place the end of the light guide in the aperture and
activate the C
2.

When the handpiece is inserted in the base station,
another LED displays the charge status for the battery:

There are two receptacles in the front of the base
station, used to hold light guides when they are not
inserted in the handpiece.
5 - MODES USED
The C
2 has three different modes. To select the
ELALUX
mode you want to use, press the navigation button. The
green LED indicator next to each symbol shows the
mode selected.

" mode 1: when the handpiece is removed

URING
from the base station, the device will be set on fast
curing program. This menu activates maximum light
power (depending on the light guide) for 10 seconds.

navigation key. This menu gives full power for 20
secondes.
"S

" mode: Selected by means of the navigation

TART
key. "Soft-start", gives you:
- a soft start of 5 seconds
- full power for 35 seconds.
6 - EVERYDAY USE
1) The C
2 is normally positioned on the base
ELALUX
station. The first time you screw it onto the battery
it will be activated in the last used mode. For further
details, please refer to chapter 5.
2) Your C
2 is ready to use once the menu has
ELALUX
been selected.
3) Place the light guide as close as possible to the
surface of the VLC material without touching it, as
this could greatly damage the light guide and
decrease its efficiency (staining)
4) Press the On/Off button briefly to start the curing
cycle. The setting will be confirmed by an audible
signal (beep).
5) At the end of the cycle (and every 10 secounds), you
will hear another beep. However, the cycle can be
interrupted at any time simply by pressing the On/Off
button.
6) If the device is not used, after three minutes it goes
into Standby mode and all the indicator lights go out.
Press any button to reactivate the device.
7 - CARE
Warning: For everyday maintenance of the C
make sure that the unit is not on its rest. Disconnect the
rest from the C
2 before using a disinfectant.

2 and its accessories can be cleaned and

disinfecting wipes impregnated with alcohol, an
amphoteric and a biguamide (refer to manufacturer's
instructions) for at least two minutes. Leave the
product to take effect for at least 15 minutes. Use
