Micropulse Linear Transducer - Rod Style
3
Installation (cont.)
Protect the transducer
from damage and wear.
In addition to mechanical
protection, this also includes
precautions to prevent damage
due to environmental influences.
3.1
Minimum distance to fixed
obstacles
During installation, make sure that
there is a minimum distance
between the transducer housing
and fixed obstacles, such as
protective covers. The required
distance is specified in
EN 60079-14 and depends on the
applied gas group.

Installation requirements
of applications outside of
Zone 0 (with magnet rings
according to Section 3.2.1)
We recommend that both the
transducer and the magnet ring be
installed in non-magnetizable ma-
terial. ➥ ➥ ➥ ➥ ➥ Fig. 3-3.

Ignition Class "d"
Flameproof enclosure
When using magnetizable mate-
rial, suitable means must be used
to protect the transducer from
magnetic interference.

Keep the transducer and cylinder
sufficiently distant from external
magnetic fields.
