3) Depress the pedal all the way down (5, Fig. L): the four clamps (6, Fig. L) on the table top
will open. When the pedal is depressed again, the clamps should close.
4) Depress the pedal (7, Fig. L) to tilt the post (8, Fig. L) back to non-working position.
Depress the pedal again, the post will recouple in its working position.
5) Move the button (Fig. M2) to its middle position (B): the vertical arm (10, Fig. L) moves
down to facilitate placing the head against the rim edge.
Press the button (Fig. M2) down (C): the working arms (10-11, Fig. L) lock simultaneously
and the head automatically moves 2 mm away from the rim edge (see chapter on demounting).
Press the button (Fig. M2) down (A) from inside: the working arms unlock simultaneously and
the vertical arm lifts (10, Fig. L).
6) Check that a drop of oil drops into the lubricator glass cup (12, Fig. L) after every two or
three movements of the footpedals (3 or 5, Fig. L).
Oil feed may be regulated by means of the Lubricator adjusting screw (see Fig. M3).
7) Push the control lever (17, Fig. L) downwards: this should make the leverless mount hook (see Fig. M4) move; by pulling the control lever
up the hook should go back to the rest position (see Fig. M5).
The illustration shows a rim fitted on the chuck, showing the positions of
the hours as if on a clock.
In the various operating stages described below, when a position (of the
valve, bead presser, tools, etc,) is mentioned, reference is ALWAYS made to
these positions.
N.B.: The 12 o'clock position is in line with the vertical post of the tyre
changer.
