ENGLISH
(See FIG. 3 or 4 - item 1) according to the chosen operating mode
(See paragraph 6.1).
If another detection mode is used, see the manual for that device.
5.3.5 12 V output
Voltage available for optional interface board.
Voltage
: 12 V ~
Max. current
: 100 mA
5.3.6 Fault transmission
Dry close contact, common to a pump fault and an overflow level.
Max. voltage
: 250 V
Max. current
: 2 A
5.3.7 Sensor
It is possible to connect one protective device per pump. This device
can be of two types (See FIG. 6):
- two-blade thermal protection,
- protection by CTP thermistor.
1 wire sensor : The wire must be connected to the most left of both
terminal dedicated to the protection and the right terminal to the
earth terminal block (See FIG. 3 or 4 - item 11).
Nota : in 2 pumps version, connected a shunt between the two right
terminal (See FIG. 11).
2 wires sensor : the wire sensor N° 4 must be connected to the left termi-
nal dedicated to the protection, and the wire sensor N° 5 must be connec-
ted to the right terminal dedicated to the protection (See FIG. 12).
The earth wire of pump must be connected to the earth ter-
minal block (FIG. 3 or 4 - item 11).
5.3.8 Power supply network
Use a 4-conductor electric cable (3 phases + earth) to connect the
3-phase network to terminals 2, 4 and 6 of the disconnecting switch
(See FIG. 3 or 4 - item 10). See the diagram (See FIG. 10).
Use a 3-conductor electric cable (1 phase + neutral + earth) to
connect the single-phase network to terminals 2 and 6 of the
disconnecting switch (See FIG. 3 or 4 - item 10). See the diagram
(See FIG. 10).
Do not forget to connect the earth.
Check that each stuffing box is properly tightened
CAUTION
in order to ensure correct holding of the cable and
maximum tight sealing.
5.3.9 Option
An optional board can be used to manage two sensors per pump
(See FIG. 7):
- One thermal sensor with automatic resetting.
- One thermal sensor with manual resetting or one sealing sensor
according to the choice made on the board selector.
This board is especially recommended when using pumps of the
following types: SCA 4-pole ≤ 5.5 kW and SDL.
Fitting instructions
- Remove the marked pins (See FIG. 5 - items 1 and 2).
- Pin the optional board in their place. (In the case of the one-pump
version, the board's terminal block extends beyond the fixed
terminal block).
Electrical connections in accordance with diagram (See FIG. 7)
1 and 2 : Fault transmission (characteristics in paragraph 5.3.6).
3
: Thermal sensor (automatic resetting).
4
: Common, sensors 3 and 5.
5
: Thermal or sealing sensor (manual resetting).
6
: Thermal sensor (automatic resetting).
7
: Common, sensors 6 and 8.
8
: Thermal or sealing sensor (manual resetting.
9
: Function selector 5 and 8: ST (thermal sensor) SE (sealing
sensor).
Note: Manual resetting is performed by resetting the control box (by
placing the master disconnecting switch in position 0 and then
position 1).
6. STARTING UP
6.1 Choice of operating mode
The control box allows two possible modes. This choice is made on the
selector (See FIG. 3 and 4 - item 12).
By default, the control box is supplied in the following configuration:
1-pump version:
position A (switch),
2-pump version:
float type switch position.
6.1.1 Float type switch
(Selector in position A in 1-pump version).
In this case, the number of floats used is equal to the number of levels
to be detected. One float detects a single level.
This solution is suitable when there are great distances between levels
(deep wells).

6.1.2 Float type controllers
(Selector in position B in 1-pump version).
In the case of this solution, a single float detects two levels. One pump is
started up and shut down by means of one float.

6.2 Choice of shutdown level for 2nd pump (2-pump version)
This control box allows two possible modes. This choice is made on the
selector (See FIG. 3 - item 13).
By default, the control box is supplied in the "deferred shutdown"
configuration.
6.2.1 Deferred shutdown
The pumps are shut down as described in paragraph 6.1.
6.2.2 Simultaneous shutdown
The two pumps are shut down at the same time at the low level.
6.3 Verifications
6.3.1 Thermal protection
Check that the thermal relay setting value is adjusted to the current
indicated on the plate on the pump motor. Adjust this value if
necessary.
