Before calling for service
The following issues can be handled by the user. Please call the service center if the prob-
lem is not solved.
Problem
Unit won't operate
Odor.
Foods inside the fresh
food compartment are
frozen.
The compressor has
been running for a long
period of time.
The refrigerator door
cannot be properly
closed.
Abnormal sounds.
Possible cause
• Make sure the unit is plugged in to power supply.
• Low voltage.
• Power outage.
• A house fuse is blown or a circuit breaker is tripped.
• Foods are not properly wrapped or sealed.
• Rotten foods inside the refrigerator.
• Interior needs cleaning.
• Thermostat knob is set in a too cold position.
• Foods containing water were placed in the fresh food com-
partment.
• It is normal for the unit to run for long periods of time espe-
cially during summer when room temperature is higher.
• Do not load the unit with too many food at the same time.
• Do not load foods into de unit until they have cooled down
to room temperature.
• Too many door openings.
• Thick layer of frost. The unit needs to be defrosted.
• Freezer door is stuck by food packages.
• Too much food inside the unit.
• Refrigerator is not level.
• Make sure the refrigerator is level.
• Check parts and accessories inside the appliance. Vibration
produces noise.
