WARNING
Various dust created by power sanding, sawing, grinding,
drilling and other construction activities contains chemicals
known (to the State of California)to cause cancer, birth defects
or other reproductive harm. Some examples of these
chemicals are:
- lead from lead-based paints,
- crystalline silica from bricks and cement and other masonry
products, and
- arsenic and chromium from chemically-treated lumber.
The risk from these exposures varies, depending on how often
you do this type of work.
To reduce your exposure to these chemicals: work in a well
ventilated area, and work with approved safety equipment,
such as dust masks that are specially designed to filter out
microscopic particles.

2.1 Use for intended purpose
The jigsaws with orbit have been designed to saw wood and
wood-like materials. Plastics, steels, aluminium, non-ferrous
metals and ceramic tiles can also be processed using special
saw blades as recommended in the Festool sales documents
for the individual materials.
The user shall be liable for damages and accidents due to
incorrect use.
2.2 Electrical connection and operation
The mains voltage must correspond with the voltage on the
rating plate!
The PS 2 E has a slide switch (1.1) to switch the tool on and
off (I = ON, 0 = OFF).
