Before fi rst use
Use a suitable tool to unscrew the battery cover, remove the transport insert
and put the cover back on.
Switching on
Press the
button. The current temperature in degrees Celsius will appear
on the display.
Measuring the temperature of food and drinks
Unfold the stainless steel sensor, submerse or punch it into food so that the tip
of the probe is as close as possible to the centre of the food or drink and wait
until the temperature on the display stabilises. Do not apply inappropriate
force when punching the stainless steel sensor into food. Do not leave the
thermometer inserted in a food or drink. Remove it immediately after you
fi nish measuring.

After the measured temperature has stabilised, press the

Maintenance and storage
Clean the stainless steel folding probe with normal detergents. Avoid using
aggressive substances, chemicals and sharp objects for cleaning. If necessary,
wipe the thermometer with a moistened dishcloth. Do not wash in dishwash-
er, carry and store with the probe folded.
Battery replacement
The thermometer comes with an inserted LR44 battery. As soon as the symbol
of a dead battery appears on the display, replace the battery with a new one.
Use exclusively a high-quality LR44 battery. Remove the battery from the
thermometer during periods of prolonged inactivity and store it separately.
Do not discard used batteries or the product in domestic waste – dispose of
them at a recycling site.
Notice
Do not use the thermometer in a microwave, electric, gas or hot-air oven
or near appliances producing an electromagnetic fi eld, such as a microwave
oven, mobile phone, etc. If the thermometer malfunctions due to electromag-
netic radiation, remove the source of interference and switch the thermom-
eter off and then on again. Keep out of the reach of children.
3-year warranty
A 3-year warranty period applies to this product from the date of purchase.
The warranty never covers defects: Due to improper use incompatible with
the Instructions for use. Resulting from an impact, fall or mishandling. Due to
unauthorised repairs of, or alterations to, the product.
