To do this, loosen the clamp screws
N
on the gearhead (arrows) and pull
the gearhead off the drive tube.
12
The drive shaft may slip out of the tube
in this process. If this happens, push the
HL/FH
drive shaft back into the tube.
HT
The drive shaft must not project from the
tube more than L = 22 mm (7/8 in). If this
KB/KW
dimension is not correct, apply slight
pressure to the drive shaft and rotate it
slowly at the same time until it can be
pushed in to the required length.
Mounting the Deflector
Apply a mark (with pencil or felt-tip
N
pen) at distance A (125 mm/5 in)
from the end of the drive tube.
Remove the protective caps from
N
the ends of the tube and keep them
in a safe place.
2
L
Loosen the clamp screws (1).
N
Push the deflector (2) onto the drive
N
tube (3) and beyond the mark
(arrow). Then pull the deflector back
until it is flush with or just covers the
mark (arrow).
Position the deflector so that the
N
machine support on the engine
faces down and the deflector is
horizontal.
Tighten down the clamp screws (1)
N
firmly.
WARNING
Check that the deflector is secure – it
must not be possible to rotate it on the
drive tube.
