SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

General safety information for the use of electrical devices:
To avoid injury from fire or electric shock, please ensure
the compliance with the safety instructions when using this
device. Please read the instructions carefully and make sure
that you have understood them well. Keep the manual near
the equipment to be able to read it at any time. Always use
current sources which are connected to the ground and
which provide the necessary voltage (this info is indicated
on the label on the device). If you have any doubts, let an
electrician check that your outlet is properly grounded.
Never use a damaged power cable. Do not open the unit
in damp or wet environment, or if your hands or body are
damped or wet. Protect the unit from solar radiation. Use
the device in a protected location to avoid damaging the
equipment or endangering others. Make sure the device is
able to cool and avoid placing it too close to other devices
that produce heat. Before cleaning the device, disconnect it
from the power source. Use a soft damp cloth for cleaning.
Avoid using detergents and make sure that no liquid enters
the unit. No internal element of this device needs to be
maintained by the user. Opening the device without our
approval leads to a loss of warranty!
SAFETY GUIDELINES
1.
Please read and understand these instructions
carefully before operating the device! Please observe
the safety guidelines carefully in order to prevent

7.
ELECTRIC SHOCK HAZARD! Do not attempt to repair
the unit yourself. In case of device failures, repairs
must be done by qualified experts.
8.
Please check the main plug and power cable
regularly. If the power cable for this device is
damaged, it has to be replaced by the manufacturer
or its customer service or another qualified person in
order to prevent hazards.
9.
Prevent damages to the power cable by avoiding
squeezing or bending it or rubbing it on sharp edges.
Also keep the power cable away from hot surfaces
and open flames.
10.
Only use extension leads in good working order
and in accordance with the device parameters. The
length and diameter of the cable will be the key
characteristics. Consult a qualified electrician to
determine these.
11.
If working with the device outside, make sure to use
an extension lead suitable for external use.
12.
ATTENTION! DANGER TO LIFE! While cleaning, never
immerse the device in water or other liquids.
13.
Attention should be paid not to touch earthed
surfaces such as pipes, radiators, gas stoves or
fridges whilst working with the device. This will
reduce the risk of electric shock.
14.
Under no circumstances should the housing be
opened.
15.
Do not use additional equipment not recommended
or catered for by the manufacturer.
16.
Keep the work area clean. Cluttered areas can cause
injuries.
17.
Consider the work area environment before starting
to work. The work station has to be well illuminated.
Don't expose power tools to rain or wet soil. Don't
use power tools in damp or wet locations. The work
area should be well secured. Don't use the tool in
the presence of flammable liquids or gases. Power
tools produce sparks during normal operation or
when switching ON/OFF. Never use power tools in
dangerous sites containing lacquer, paint, benzene,
thinner, gasoline, gases, adhesive agents, and other
materials which are combustible or explosive.
18.
Do not damage the connection cable. Never carry
the tool by the cord or yank the cord to disconnect it
from the power source. Keep cord from heat and oil
sources and sharp edges.
19.
Avoid unintentional starting. Don't carry a plugged-
in tool with finger on switch. Be sure the tool is
switched off when plugging it in.
20.
A switched on device should not be left unattended.
21.
Check damaged parts. Before further use of the
tool, any part of the casing or other parts that are
damaged should be carefully checked to determine
that they will operate properly and perform their
intended function. Check for alignment of moving
parts, mounting, and any other conditions that may
affect its operation. A part that is damaged should
be properly repaired or replaced by an authorized
service centre unless otherwise indicated elsewhere
in this instruction manual. Defective switches should
be replaced by an authorized service centre. Do not
use the tool if the switch does not turn it on and off.
Replace worn out parts, do not use the grinder with
worn out grinding tools.
22.
Do not use power tools for applications other than
those specified in the instructions (other than that for
which it was designed).
Rev. 10.10.2017
23.
To ensure the designed operational integrity of
power tools, do not remove installed covers or
screws.
24.
Do not touch movable parts or accessories unless
the power source has been disconnected.
25.
Before using the device make sure all adjustment
spanners have been removed.
26.
The area towards which the grinding wheel is
spinning should be kept free of any body parts.
27.
Only press the workpiece against the grinding
wheel's cylindrical section and not to its head.
28.
Maximum permissible speed of the grinding tool
cannot be less than the speed of the device.
29.
Do not work on two workpieces at the same time.
30.
Only push the workpiece against the grinding wheel
after the device has been switched on. At first, push
the workpiece gently against the tool. Avoid striking
the grinding wheel.
31.
Once the device has been switched off, tools
continue to rotate by inertia and start slowing down.
Do not use the workpiece to arrest spinning grinding
tools.
32.
Use your tool at lower input load than specified on
the nameplate to increase working efficiency and
decrease wear out.
33.
Do not wipe plastic parts with solvent. Solvents such
as gasoline, thinner, benzene, alcohol, ammonia and
oil may damage and crack plastic parts. Do not wipe
them with such solvents. Wipe plastic parts with
a soft cloth lightly dampened with soapy water.
34.
Do not wear loose clothing when using the device
which can be caught by spinning elements of the
tool resulting in injury. Make sure hair, earnings or
ties do not get caught in the device.
35.
When using with the device remain stable and avoid
excessive leaning or overreaching with your hands
Avoid movements which might cause the operator to
lose control of the workpiece. Keep hands away from
moving parts of the grinder.
36.
Push the workpiece tightly against the workpiece
bracket.
37.
Make sure the articulated spark shields are aligned at
the correct angle to ensure maximum protection.
38.
Wear protective goggles to protect your eyes.
39.
Use dust masks.
40.
Use earplugs to keep your ears noise-free while
working.
41.
Do not use the device without spark shields even if
the operator is wearing protective goggles.
42.
The tool becomes very hot during operation.
43.
Disconnect the plug from the socket when adjusting
or carrying out maintenance works on the device.
44.
Pay attention when moving or changing device
position or if the still grinding wheel is to come into
contact with any body part. Use of excessive force,
impact or dropping of the grinding wheel may
result in it cracking. Store the device in a dry place,
protected against accidental impacts or forces.
45.
Use of suction devices to remove the dust generated
when the device is in use is recommended.
46.
Before each use inspect the device for any visible
damage such as worn out or damaged grinding tools
and ensure bolts and other part so the device are
tightened.
