Description and use
Sila RCV 300 (hereinafter device ) is a heat recovery unit for residential use characterised by its high thermal exchange
efficiency, low consumption (from 14.8 W-Th-C to 32.0 W-Th-C) and small size.
The device is controlled by an advanced electronic management system and is equipped with fan motors with EC brushless
motors.
A heat exchanger is set inside the device. The exchanger guarantees thermal exchange efficiency ≃ 92.5 %. The device is
equipped with an automatic bypass function and incorporated antifreeze protection. (See "Use" for a more detailed
description of the various functions).
These devices have been designed for residential and commercial use.

• Do not use the device for any function other than that specified in this booklet.
• After removing the product from its packaging, ensure that it is not damaged. If in doubt please contact
a professionally qualified person or authorised Technical Assistance Centre.
• Never leave packaging parts within reach of children or disabled persons.
• The use of any electric device requires compliance with a few fundamental rules, including: never touch it with wet or
humid hands, never touch it when barefoot.
• Do not use the unit in the presence of flammable substances or vapours such as alcohol, insecticides, gasoline, etc.
• Take precautions to prevent gas coming into the flue pipe or from other open flame devices from entering into the room.
• In order to avoid any danger of accidental reset of the thermal breaker device, devices must not be powered by an exter-
nal switch device such as a timer, or must not be connected to a circuit that is regularly powered or disconnected.
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced

physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the
hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall
not be made by children without supervision.
• The appliance must be installed by a professionally qualified electrician.
• An omnipolar switch with a contact opening distance of 3 mm or higher should be provided for in-
stallation, enabling complete disconnection under overvoltage category III conditions. Products
equipped with three-phase wiring (T) engines ALWAYS require connection to 380-415V (or only
400V where required) threephase lines, or also 220-240V (or only 230V where required). Any kind
of modification shall be considered as product tampering and shall nullify the relative warranty. Pro-
ducts equipped with single-phase wiring (M) engines ALWAYS require connection to 220-240V (or
only 230V where required) single-phase lines. Any kind of modification shall be considered as pro-

• Do not make changes of any kind to the unit.
• Maintenance instructions must be followed to prevent damage to and/or excessive wear of the device.
• Do not leave the device exposed to adverse weather conditions (rain, sun, etc.)
• Do not rest objects on the device.
• Internal cleaning of the product must only be carried out by qualified personnel.
• Periodically check device conditions. If imperfections are noted, do not use the unit and immediately contact an authorised
Baxi Technical Assistance Centre.
• Promptly contact an authorised Baxi Technical Assistance Centre in the event of unit malfunction and/or failure and
request the use of original Baxi spare parts for any repairs.
• In case of damage to the power cable, have a Baxi Assistance Centre replace it immediately.
• If the product falls or receives a strong blow, immediately have it inspected at an authorised Baxi Technical Assistance
Centre.
• The device must be installed so as to ensure that no one can come near its moving or live parts during normal operating
conditions.
