REPLACING THE HAMMERS.
As the hours of use increase, the hammers will go blunt in the beating edge. This is considered a natural wear out. The
crushing power will decrease as the bluntness increases. Do not wait till the total wear out happens, when the metal
is worn down to shaft bore. Before this happens, change the hammer position making sure that in this new position, a
sharp edge will be the first part to beat the rubble when it starts rotating. Proceed likewise with the four edges of each
hammer.
The exact durability of the hammer cannot be determined. The durability depends on the hardness and caliber of the
materials to be crushed.
To change the hammer position so the sharp side will be the first beating the rubble:
1. Disconnect the machine from the power main.
2. Open the hopper and clean the debris to work comfortably.
3. Remove the clip (E) from one end of the shaft (E) to remove the shaft, the hammers (M) and the spacers (S).
4. Reassemble the hammers with the new slap face forward and do not forget to mount the clip.
5. Repeat the previous point on each of the axes.
6. Remove the tools and close the hopper by tightening the nut.
