Any maintenance work must be carried out when the appliance has cooled down
and the plug has been removed from the socket.
Do not allow water to splash into the appliance.
11.1 Replacing the protective filter
The temperature sensor only functions correctly if the protective filter film is
clean and undamaged. As a result, the sensor must be examined regularly (at
least every 3 months).
Remove the protective filter by moving it forwards and check the condition of
the filter.
If required, replace the filter.
Re-insert the protective filter.
4 separate protective filters are supplied with the appliance. New filters can be
ordered from the technical Customer Service Centre.

NOTE
Do not touch the protective film.
Do not attempt to clean the protective filter.
11.2 Cleaning the appliance
The housing of the Infrared heater, models S32/S33, should be cleaned regularly
to remove dust and dirt that has accumulated during treatments.
Danger
Do not remove particles of dirt in the heater housing and the ventilation slits
using a tail comb or any other sharp object. Electric shock hazard.
Note
NOTE
Clean the appliance using a soft, moistened cloth only. The housing – but not the
display – may also be cleaned using an ethanol-based cleaning agent.
Do not use benzene, paint thinners or caustic cleaning agents.
