SOLUTION
Check for contamination in alarm chamber on Quick-
Check Station and in Altair Detector; clean as needed
Press instrument TEST button; if no sound occurs
during alarm check, contact MSA for replacement
Press instrument TEST button; if LEDs are
nonfunctional, contact MSA for replacement
Press instrument TEST button; if vibrator alarm is
nonfunctional, contact MSA for replacement
Check pressure gage on calibration cylinder
Calibrate instrument per MSA recommendations
Verify tubing is fully connected to QuickCheck
Station fitting
Clean gas delivery outlet
Check for blockage and remove if necessary
Verify that calibration cylinder is the same gas type as
the Altair instrument
Check manual and calibration cylinder for
proper concentration
Ensure regulator is opened or turned ON before
placing the instrument into the QuickCheck Station
Check expiration date of calibration cylinder;
replace if necessary
Verify that QuickCheck Station is used with
the recommended regulator
Check power connections to QuickCheck Station
Remove instrument; press and hold TEST button for
one full second before placing instrument into
QuickCheck Station
Fully seat instrument in QuickCheck Station
Re-test instrument
