• Given the importance of correctly maintaining your iron's steam chamber,
we recommend that you follow the instructions below. You have the fo-
llowing options, depending on the hardness of the water in your home.
If you do not know the hardness of the water in your home, ask for infor-
mation from your town council.
Very soft water
(up to 7º Fr)
Soft water
(up to 15º Fr)
Medium water
(up to 25º Fr)
Hard water
(above 25º Fr)
• If you live in an area that has very soft water, you can fill the tank using
100% drinkable mineral water or tap-water.
• If you live in an area that has soft water, you can fill the tank using 100%
drinkable mineral water, or fill 50% with tap-water and the other 50% with
bottled mineral water.
• If you live in an area that has medium water, you can fill the tank using
100% drinkable mineral water, or fill 75% with tap-water and the other
25% with bottled mineral water.
• Lastly, if you live in an area that has hard water, fill the tank with bottled
mineral water.
• IMPORTANT NOTICE: Battery water and water with additives (such as
starch, perfumes, softeners, anti-scale products) are not suitable, since
they could reduce the performance of the steam and, in certain cases,
leave residue in the steam chamber, which could then dirty the garments
when it comes out through the soleplate.
• Plug the iron into the mains. To obtain steam, you must place the tempe-
rature selector Fig.1 (1) at level
off, indicating that the desired temperature has been reached, place the
steam selecting control Fig.1 (2) in the steam position. Fig. 4 2.
