Starting up
The chain counter features a 3-digit display and three buttons,
and
(DOWN).
Button ON enables the controls and the switching on of the display lighting
(lighting will be switched off 2.5 minutes after the last control has been
operated). Button UP is used to weigh anchor whereas button DOWN is used
to cast anchor. Whenever the button is released, the action is stopped.
Pushing the buttons ON and DOWN one after the other the display is reset.
When the instrument is turned on for the first time, it will set up as programmed
in the factory.
The words SET CM will run across the
display screen.
Then
the
programmed in the factory (33 cm) will
be displayed.
The instrument will set up to count
chain deployment in metres – in 0.5 m
increments up to 99.5 metres and in 1
m increments up to 999 metres.
