INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS

5.1. Condensate discharge Installation
Level
a. All condensate discharge pipework must be insulated correctly.
b. To prevent condense water flowing back into the air conditioning
unit when the unit is off, ensure the condensate discharge pipework
is installed on a gradient of 1/100 or more with the directional flow
being away from the unit.
c. Condensate discharge pipework must be supported every 0.8 to
1.0 m.
5.2. Minimum length of straight pipe
Outdoor unit
• The minimum length of straight pipe from the outdoor unit must be
>1m.
• The minimum length of pipework between the inlet of the mini
branch box and the closest change in direction must be >1m.
• The minimum length of pipework between the outlet of the mini
branch box and the closest change in direction must be >0.5m.
• The minimum length of pipework between the outlet of the mini
branch box and the closest change in direction must be >0.5m.
5.3. Mini branch boxes must not be cascaded together
