e. REASSEMBLY
1) Apply grease to the oil seal lip.

• Check the oil seal lip. If it is cut or damaged, replace the
front bracket assembly.

2) Install the breaker assembly and tighten the 4 x 12 mm
screw.

Connect the terminal wire (blue wire) to the breaker
assembly.

3) Install the brush assembly and tighten it with the 4 x 12 mm

screw.
4) Set the brush spring on the front bracket.

While pushing the brush in, install the armature on the
front bracket assembly with care not to damage the oil seal.

• Check the armature shaft for burrs, and correct it with a

fine emery paper if necessary.
• Check that the brush spring is set properly.

5) Apply grease to a new O-ring, and install it on the front

bracket assembly.

6) Check for foreign material (washer, etc.) on the magnetic
part inside the yoke.

7) Apply grease to the yoke of the armature shaft, and install

the yoke while holding the armature shaft.
8) Tighten the three 5 x 20 mm screws to the specified torque.

TORQUE: 2.1 N . m (0.2 kgf . m, 1.5 lbf . ft)

9) After installation, tap the yoke lightly with a plastic hammer
19
and check that the armature turns smoothly.
