2. Circular saws with guide
groove
2.1
Clamping guide rail
See page 2, fig. A.
Using the 2 clamp clips 6.31031, the guide rail can
be secured on the workpiece for safe work. The
clamp clips are pushed onto both sides of the guide
rail into the T-slot (1).
2.2
Attaching the machine
Descriptions for machines with a groove (2) in the
circular saw guide plate:
See page 2, fig. B.
- Mount the circular saw as shown on the guide rail.
(The groove (2) in the circular saw guide plate
slides in the profile (3) of the guide rail)
- With the screws (4) released, the play, and thus
the sliding movement of the guide rail, can be
adjusted by shifting the screws.
Diagonal cuts can be carried out in all angle
settings.
2.3
Rubber profile
See page 2, fig. C.
In new condition, the outside edge of the rubber
profile (6) protrudes slightly beyond the cutting
track of the circular saw blade. This protruding
section is cut off in the first cut. The edge of the
plastic profile is then cutting edge of the workpiece.
When changing the circular saw type, it is usually
necessary to replace the rubber profile with a new
one. Spare rubber profiles can be ordered under
order no. 344097920.
2.4
Stop pieces
See page 2, fig. C.
Plunge cuts: To hold the machine safely when
plunge cutting, the attached stop piece (5) can be
used as a stop. This means that it is no longer
necessary to secure a special stop strip on the
workpiece. Observe the instructions in the
Operating Instructions of your machine!
Specified or constant cut length: The second stop
piece (5) can also be used to achieve a specified, or
constant, cut length.
2.5
Extending guide rail
See page 2, fig. D.
Using connectors 6.31211, two 2 guide rails
6.31213 can be adjoined.
Align the guide rails flush. By screwing the threaded
screws into the connectors, the guide rails are
joined firmly to one another.
3. Circular saws without guide
groove
KS 66, KSE 68 Plus:
See page 2, fig. E.
When the 2 adapter parts 6.31020 are fitted, the
above-described circular saws can be used as
described in chapter 2..
With the screws (7) released, the play, and thus the
sliding movement of the guide rail, can be adjusted
by shifting the adapter parts.
KS 54, KS 54 SP, KSE 55 Plus, KSA 18 LTX,
KSAP 18:
See page 2, fig. F.
Guide plate 6.31019 must be used for this
application.
- Depending on the machine to be fitted, tighten the
pins (10) with the screws through the front or rear
holes.
