IGNITION AND ADJUSTMENT
By turning adjuster screw (see 0002933100), set air register and flame disc to the position that would appear
correct on the basis of the amount of fuel to be burnt (see table).
Set main circuit breaker to OFF in order to connect and switch on the burner. If necessary, correct the flow of
combustion air by adjusting the register and the position of the flame disc (adjuster screw D). The burner is fitted with
adjuster screw for flame disc position; such device allows combustion to be optimised by reducing and increasing
the flow of air between disc and head. It is usually necessary to reduce (unscrew D) the flow of air between disc
and head when running with lower fuel delivery, whilst such passage should be proportionally greater (screw D)
when the burner operates with higher fuel delivery. Having altered the position of the flame disc, it is normally
necessary to adjust the position of the air register, and subsequently check that ignition takes place correctly. The
BTL 3H burner is fitted with a light-oil heater at the nozzle. This device means that better atomisation is obtained
and thus improved combustion.
AIR REGULATION PRINCIPLE DIAGRAM AND
DISK-ELECTRODES SETTING
After having installed the nozzle, check the correct position of the electrodes and disk according to the following
levels. It's adviseable to check levels after every intervention on head.
N.B. To prevent damage to the support or the pre-heater effect nozzle assembly/disassembly tasks with the aid
of a wrench and counter-wrench.
N.B. Under certain working conditions it may be better to reduce the distance between the nozzle and the deflector
disk
-
Position the disc-electrodes unit on the nozzle-carrying element as illustrated in the diagram.
-
Tighten the unit via the screw "A".
-
"B" position any pre-heater.
- Head adjustment is made by the screw (D), as for indication of index (C).
- Screw to open the airway between disc and head, unscrew down to close.
