8. Turn the car ignition key to the „accessories" position to supply
current to the cigarette lighter.
NOTE: On certain models of car it is not necessary to turn the key to
the „accessories" position to supply energy to the cigarette lighter.
9. Remove the cigarette lighter and insert the appropriate terminal of
the adapter in the socket.
10. The green LED on the device will light up: this means that the
connection has been made correctly and your adapter is ready for
use.
11. If the LED does not light up, check all the connections and make
certain that the fuse for the cigarette lighter socket in the car's fuse
box is not damaged or missing. If necessary, consult your car's
user manual for instructions on replacing it.
12. Connect the device to the socket on your notebook.
13. You can now start using your notebook or simply recharge the
battery.
WARNING!!! It is not advisable to recharge or connect your compu-
ter while starting the engine of the car, as this could cause a power
surge that may cause the computer's operating system to restart.
