11. SOLUTIONS TO POSSIBLE ANOMALIES

A. ANOMALY
A. General problems and some indicators do not turn on.
C. The transmodulator has not been correctly programmed.
S. Check the data used to program the transmodulator. Next, read the
data stored in the transmodulator to ensure data transmission took
place correctly. To do so, press the F and READ keys on the PS
programmer.
A. The QPSK satellite transponder hook-up indicator (15) does not turn
on.
C. Poor quality or inadequate level of the received satellite signal.
S. Check the quality of the satellite signal by measuring the BER (bit error
rate) with a field measurement for digital signals QPSK at the satellite
signal output (24) of the last unmixing transmodulator.
measured after error correction should be lower than 1E-8. If not,
check the installation and direction of the antenna and external LNB
unit. Check the signal level is within the margins specified on the
technical datasheet (29).
A. The QPSK satellite transponder hook-up indicator (15) does not turn
on.
C. The programmed QPSK signal data are incorrect.
S. Check the programmed values of the symbol rate (S/R), FEC and type
of QPSK signal spectrum. These data can be found in the lists of
