Determining weight and BMI
1. Press and hold SET for a few seconds.
A memory cell number will be shown blinking on the display.
2. Select the memory cell in which your height is saved using the
till "0.0" is shown on the display.
3. Position yourself on the scales. Remain standing still and do not hold on to
anything.
− First the measured weight is displayed.
− Then the memory cell is displayed along with the measured weight.
− Subsequently, you will see your body mass index displayed (see the next section).
The weighing result (weight and BMI) is displayed three times in total. The scale
then automatically switches off.
What your body mass index means
The BMI indicates the ratio of height to weight and is only an approximate standard
value. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), an index of 18.6 to 25 is
optimal.
Since men typically have a higher percentage of muscle mass in the total body mass
than women do, the age and gender play an important role in interpreting the BMI.

Resetting the scale
Reset the scale to its default settings if unusual or obviously incorrect values are shown
on the display.
1. Remove the batteries from the battery compartment and wait a moment.
2. Reinsert the batteries.
Pay attention to the correct polarity of the batteries (+/-).
After switching the scales on, you can weigh yourself as usual.
