in force in the country of use.
Depending on the different types of installation, the
actuators may be operated by the following types of
controls:
Manual button: Two-pole "dead man" type switch with
central OFF position;
Power and control unit: TOPP microprocessor control
units model TF that control a single actuator or several
actuators simultaneously with one or more manual
buttons, an infrared remote control or radio control at 433
Mhz. Rain, wind and light sensors can be connected to
these control units.
Any control units used must furnish power to the C240 for
a maximum time of 120 seconds.

EMERGENCY PROCEDURES
If the window must be opened manually due to lack of
electricity or because the mechanism locks, follow the
instructions below:
6
USE AND OPERATION
6.1
USE OF THE ACTUATOR
Use of the actuator must be assigned exclusively to
users who comply with the instructions in this
manual and/or in the manual of the actuator control
unit (power and control unit).
Use of the actuator serves to open and close the window
automatically depending on the control device installed
(see par. 5.5).
Before using, make sure there are no people, animals or
objects near the window that could accidentally be
injured (see par. 4.4).

APPENDIX
7.1
MAINTENANCE
If the actuator shows any malfunctions, contact the
manufacturer.
Any work on the actuator or any of its parts (power cord,
etc.) must be done exclusively by personnel qualified by
the manufacturer. Topp is not liable for any work done by
unauthorized persons.
The design of the actuator provides for use of parts that
do not require regular routine or special maintenance of
great significance.
Under extreme conditions of use (such as particularly
dirty working environments, frequent operation, extreme
temperature variations, possible load variations due to
snow or wind, etc.), it is essential to check at least every 6
months and clean, if necessary, the elements in the
actuator unit, the seal of the fastening systems (brackets
and screws), possible deformation of the window fittings
and consequent seal of the gaskets, as well as the state
of the wiring and connections.
If after cleaning and inspection any malfunctions are
found, contact the TOPP assistance service.

EN
INSTALLATION AND USE INSTRUCTIONS
-
Top hung opening: Fig. 41- Insert the release tool in
the openings as shown in figure, disconnect the chain
end from the ARS coupling and the clamps form the
window frame connection brackets.
-
Bottom hung window opening: Fig. 42 - Put a cut
screwdriver between the bottom hung window
bracket and the chain terminal and lift up until the
chain terminal is disengaged.
Should it be impossible to perform the above mentioned
procedures, disconnect the clamps from the window
frame connection brackets.
Before performing any type of intervention on the
actuator and on the window the following must be done:
-
disconnect the branching device from the power supply
network;
-
to avoid unexpected start-ups, lock the branching
device's main switch that is installed on the power
supply line; if the main switch cannot be locked, a "do
not operate" warning sign must be affixed.
During use of the actuator, always stay in a safe position
that ensures visual control of the window's movement.
Always check the efficient performance and function of
the actuator and window on which it is installed, as well as
the electrical system, performing any routine or special
maintenance necessary to ensure safe working
conditions.
All the above actions must be carried out exclusively by
qualified technical personnel in possession of the
professional requisites foreseen by the legislation in
force in the country of installation.
7.2
DEMOLITION
Demolition of the actuator must be made in respect of the
legislation in force on the subject of environmental
safeguards.
Proceed with differentiation of the actuator parts
according to the different type of material (plastic,
aluminum, etc.).
SPARE PARTS AND ACCESSORIES
7.3
AVAILABLE ON REQUEST
Always use original spare parts and accessories to
ensure the safety and efficient operation of the actuator
and avoid invalidating the warranty.
Original spare parts and accessories must be ordered
exclusively from the dealer or manufacturer,
communicating the type, model, serial number and year
of construction of the actuator.
